Hello Sun is one of those magical books that make you smile and instantly put you in a good mood just because you took two minutes to pick it up and read it.
Hello Sun is written and illustrated by Rajiv Eipe and is a book we have been reading on loop. It is a book about a little boy who runs out of his house to say Hello and Good Morning to all the creatures, great and small. There are so many reasons to love this book! Here are a few
- This book is simply too beautiful! Eipe has shown us time and again through Ammachi series, Monster Who could not climb the tree, Dugga etc that he is amazing when it comes to drawing foliage. In this book too, Eipe illustrates foliage and greenery outside the house so beautifully, you can actually hear the crunch of the leaves and smell the fresh green moss through the book!
- The boy in this book reminds me a lot of my little Gurgles! From trying and failing to harness that insane energy to a crazy love for all things living, big and small, Gurgles may as well be the boy in the book!
- The book paves the way for many insightful conversations with your kids about things all around them or about finding the magic in every small thing they see or even how to care for the planet’s littlest beings.
This is a simple book about a little boy who sees the magic in everything around him and when a subject matter like that comes together with mind-blowing illustrations, this book recommends itself! This is one of our most favourite books of all time!
